An east-facing house is considered highly auspicious, as it is believed to attract wealth, prosperity, and positive energy.
The east direction receives the first rays of the morning sun, providing abundant natural light and promoting positive vibrations in accordance with Vastu principles.
Leave sufficient open space in front of an east-facing house. More open space in the east is believed to bring wealth, growth, and overall prosperity.
Placing the main entrance or main gate in the east is considered highly beneficial and is said to bring positive results.
A main gate in the east combined with open space in the north is regarded as a favorable Vastu arrangement.
The eastern side of the property should ideally be wider and at a lower level than the other directions.
The east direction should remain free from obstructions such as walls, heavy structures, or stored materials to allow the free flow of positive energy.
If there is a water outlet or natural water flow, it should preferably be towards the east, as this is believed to promote good health.
If a road runs in front of an east-facing house, the house should ideally be at a slightly higher elevation than the road.
Avoid placing an overhead water tank at the rear of an east-facing house. If required, it is preferable to locate the water tank in the east, provided it does not obstruct the front of the house.
Keep the front portion of the house clean and clutter-free. Piles of soil, garbage, stones, or debris in front of the house are considered inauspicious and are believed to lead to financial losses.
The compound wall on the eastern side should be lower than the level of the main entrance.
The eastern boundary wall should be lower than the western boundary wall.
Having more windows on the east side allows ample morning sunlight into the house, creating a bright, healthy, and positive living environment.
Avoid planting large trees or placing heavy pots in the northeast corner of an east-facing house, as this may obstruct positive energy.
For the best Vastu results, the main gate should be located in the northeast or east direction.
In the prayer room, idols or pictures of deities should face west so that the person offering prayers faces east.
The east is considered an ideal location for a study room. Students facing east while studying are believed to gain better concentration, wisdom, and academic success.
Electrical switches and power outlets can be positioned on the east side, wherever practical and convenient.
A balcony or veranda in the east is considered highly beneficial, as it welcomes the morning sunlight into the home.
The floor level should gently slope towards the east, making it slightly lower than the central portion of the house, in accordance with Vastu recommendations.

East verandah sloping towards west indicates eye diseases.
