To obtain a good result, use at least two coats of putty on your surface with a minimum of 1.5 mm thickness.
You should apply 2^nd coat of wall putty after at least 6 hours of 1^st coat and then leave the wall surface to dry for 12 hours to 24 hours until the surface is properly dried.
The next step is gently rubbing the surface with the use of sandpaper, and you can check the surface to look smooth and even.
Then lastly you can apply the paint according to your choice.
